Water quality testing in Minsk

Since the beginning of 2025, Minsk has completely switched to utilizing underground drinking water sources. The chemical and bacteriological laboratory of Minskvodoprovod, a division of the Minskvodokanal water supply company, monitors water quality and safety on a daily basis. The laboratory employs 28 specialists who conduct testing across 60 drinking water quality indicators. Quality control begins before the water reaches consumers. Experts test the water at the outlets of water intakes, at major booster pumping stations, at public water standpipes, and following maintenance or repair works on the water network.
