Belarusian Written Language Day in Kostyukovichi

On 5 and 6 September, the town of Kostyukovichi in Mogilev Oblast plays host to the 33rd Day of Belarusian Written Language. A rich program has been prepared for the guests of the festival, featuring the National Literary Award ceremony, a book and press fair, a rare book display, the Writer’s Study interactive zone, and the unveiling of the Ales and Alesya monument inspired by the poem of Belarus’ People’s Poet Arkadi Kuleshov. The festival also offers interactive areas, presentations, and meetings with authors. Celebrated since 1994, the Belarusian Written Language Day is a national holiday aimed at promoting the best traditions of national culture, the printed word, and the spiritual heritage of the nation.
