Vitebsk women’s union delegation tours Palace of Independence
Members of the Belarusian Women’s Union from Vitebsk Oblast have taken a tour of the Palace of Independence. Beyond its role as a political arena, the Palace of Independence serves as a cultural center showcasing unique masterpieces of decorative crafts and fine arts. During their visit, the Vitebsk delegation participated in the national project «“We are different, but we are one.” They contributed to the unique art installation Map of Unity – a large panel shaped like Belarus, filled with photos of women and framed by authentic vytynanka paper cuttings. As delegations from different regions tour the palace, each group adds its own regional piece of vytynanka to the shared map.
