Belarus’ Weightlifting Championships in Mogilev
Belarus’ Weightlifting Championships for men and women kicked off in Mogilev on 25 August and will run through 29 August. Over 140 of the country’s strongest athletes are taking part in the tournament. Based on the results of the championship, three teams will be formed to compete in the 2026 European Junior & U23 Championships and the World Weightlifting Championships in China. On the first day of the competition, Varvara Baradzinava set a national record in the women’s clean and jerk in the 49kg weight category (87kg) and in the total (154kg).
