Fire Service Day celebrations in Gomel
A large-scale celebration dedicated to the 173rd anniversary of the establishment of Belarus’ fire service took place in the Gomel Rescuers’ Square on 24 July. Interactive stations, an exhibition of emergency-rescue equipment, and various contests were prepared for visitors. The event also featured a ceremony in which new recruits of the Gomel Oblast’s rescue units took the oath, as well as an awards presentation for employees of regional emergency bodies and units, veterans of the fire service, activists of the Belarusian Youth Public Organization of Firefighters-Rescuers, and members of the military-patriotic clubs of the Emergencies Ministry.
