Rakhval pillar-chapel in Brest District
The Column of Archangel Raphael (locally known as the Rakhval pillar-chapel) in the village of Skoki, Brest District is a historical and architectural monument of the 18th century. It was erected in the 1770s by Marcellus Niemcewicz, the father of the renowned writer Julian Ursyn Niemcewicz. The column is one of the oldest surviving sacred landmarks in the region.
