Skryhanava wins four golds at Belarus Canoe Sprint Championships
All winners and medalists have been determined at the 2026 Belarus Canoe Sprint Championships on the rowing canal in Zaslavl.
On the final day of competition, 2 August, the participants vied for the top spots in the individual 5km events. Victory in the longest distance of the program went to Aleh Yurenia and Uladzislava Skryhanava (kayak) and Ivan Patapenka and Maryia Papichych (canoe).
The five-day national championships featured 31 medal events. Uladzislava Skryhanava emerged as the most decorated athlete of the 2026 championships, winning four gold medals. Ivan Potapenko, canoeists Inna Nedelkina and Alena Nazdrova, and kayakers Dzmitry Natynchyk and Inna Savchuk each took three titles. All in all, 34 athletes earned the distinction of national champion in Belarus this year.
