Sergeyenko visits Glubokoye District
Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko visited Glubokoye District to inspect the progress of the harvest, reviewed the repair and construction of cattle housing facilities, and visited a drying complex. Igor Sergeyenko also oversaw the accommodation and employment arrangements for citizens from Uzbekistan. In early July, an intergovernmental agreement was signed outlining the procedures for recruitment, deployment, registration, employment, and subsequent oversight of workers. Last week, Uzbekistan sent the first group of workers. They are being placed in organizations across eight districts and two cities — Vitebsk and Novopolotsk. The main sectors are agriculture, construction, housing and utilities.
