Lukashenko attends Kupala Night Festival in Alexandria
Rituals, songs, and crafts are the foundation of the cultural code of Belarusians and the key to understanding ourselves, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the Kupala Night Festival (Alexandria Gathers Friends) on 11 July. The centerpiece of the festival was the concert Alexandria: Love at First Sight. The event took the form of a folk show with elements of musical theater and audience interaction. The concert concluded with a festive fireworks display and the lighting of the Kupala bonfire.
