Grain harvest in Gomel Oblast
Every morning, hundreds of harvesters take to the fields in Gomel Oblast. The regional fleet of grain harvesters totals 963 machines. Virtually all are already engaged in the harvest, with only a few still being prepared to join the campaign, due to be ready by the end of the week.
This year, Kalininsky agricultural enterprise in the Dobrush District has 4,865 hectares to harvest. Eighteen people operate the harvesters at the farm, mostly working in tandem crews. There are also many family dynasties among the grain crop growers. After finishing the harvest at their own farm, the Kalininsky machine operators often go on to help their colleagues at other agricultural enterprises.
