Forage harvesting in Vitebsk District
Farmers of the Lipovtsy agricultural enterprise in Vitebsk District are harvesting the second cut of grasses. The farm is actively engaged in silage production. Mowers, forage harvesters, and trucks for transporting green mass are in operation, with the silage being stored in trenches and clamps. The total area under perennial grasses at Lipovtsy is 1,450 hectares. According to the plan, 35,600 tonnes of silage must be produced to provide adequate feed for the cattle during the stall period; as of today, over 27,700 tonnes have already been stockpiled.
