Flax harvest in Mogilev District
Mogilev Regional Agricultural Experimental Station of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has posted the yield of 9 centners per hectare of original seeds of breeder’s elite long-fiber flax. This marks a record harvest for the station since its establishment. The enterprise specializes in the cultivation, seed production, and breeding of potatoes, cereals and legumes, perennial grasses, and flax. To date, 24 varieties of long-fiber flax developed by the station are included in the state register. This year, trials of two new varieties have commenced.
