Beauty contest in Vitebsk
Vitebsk’s Summer Amphitheater hosted the finale of the Vitebsk Beauty contest, naming its top winners. Launched to mark the Year of the Belarusian Woman, the event revived a tradition that originally began in 1989. Now, nearly 40 years later, the contest has once again brought local women into the spotlight, drawing over 100 applicants. The event showcased incredible diversity, with contestants ranging in age from 18 to 74. The judges crowned three main titleholders: Albina Zhorova took home the Vitebsk Beauty: Miss crown, Maria Velikanova won the Vitebsk Beauty: Mrs. category, and Svetlana Levina secured the Vitebsk Beauty: Grand Mrs. title. Each participant received an honorary Vitebsk Beauty 2026 title.
