Beach volleyball tournament in Minsk
Belarusians Aliaksandr Dziadkou and Pavel Piatrushka opened the international Victory Cup beach volleyball tournament in the Belarusian capital with a win. In their opening group-stage match in Pool A, the country’s top pair beat Arseniy Krasavin and Vladislav Mikhalev of Moscow’s VC Dinamo Vodny 2-1 (21-18, 21-23, 16-14). In Pool B, another Belarusian duo, Ivan Yarmosh and Aliaksei Kavaleuski, lost to Oleg Stoyanovsky and Ilya Leshukov of Fakel Novy Urengoy (0-2), who top the Russian ranking.
