More than 530 calf rearing facilities operate in Brest Oblast

Brest Oblast builds and modernizes calf rearing facilities every year. The conditions created for young cattle are an important factor in livestock farming and the production of milk and meat. The first three months of a calf’s life lay the foundation for high productivity. One such facility was opened on 5 October at the Molodaya Gvardiya agricultural enterprise at the Zbirogi dairy farm. The facility has a capacity of 360 calves. Over the past three years, about 140 such facilities have been built in Brest Oblast. There are currently 531 calf rearing facilities in Brest Oblast, with capacity for nearly 100,000 calves.
