Belarusian traffic police mark 90th anniversary in Minsk
The culmination of the celebrations marking the 90th anniversary of the State Automobile Inspectorate was a festival held on Oktyabrskaya Square on 7 July. The program featured a street theatrical performance ‘90 Years Through Time and Distance’ where residents and visitors saw the history of the traffic police brought to life through characters and events for the first time. An exhibition of all the retro vehicles once used by the traffic police was on display. Guests also enjoyed demonstration performances by officers of the Strela special traffic police unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
