Vitebsk Zoo welcomes baby camel
A baby camel was born to a pair of camels at Vitebsk Zoo for the first time. The fluffy Bactrian calf is now 10 days old. The birth is considered a special gift for the zoo, as camels are rarely born in captivity. The calf has not yet been named. The enclosure has plenty of room for the baby camel and his parents, Asya and Timofey. If no conflicts arise between the two generations, the zoo will be able to keep the calf.
