Lukashenko urges Belarusians to close ranks to weather global turbulence

TOLOCHIN, 20 April (BelTA) – At a time when the world is going through turbulence and chaos, Belarusians need to stand united and press ahead, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said while visiting a church in Tolochin, BelTA has learned.
“I already said on Christmas that these are difficult years, especially this year. We need to mobilize, close ranks and persevere. Turbulence, chaos and confusion in the world are enormous,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The president emphasized that the authorities are trying to protect Belarus and the Belarusian people from this chaos, to make sure that every Belarusian can see the results of their work, calmly raise children and give them education.
“But these years are very difficult, very hard, especially due to the sanctions imposed on our economy. The economy is at the heart of everything,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.
