Expert comments on potential for deploying weapons in space

Aleksandr Tishchenko News of the story «On Point» Expert comments on West’s reaction to placing Oreshnik on combat duty in Belarus   Expert: Approximately 600,000 have deserted from Armed Forced of Ukraine MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) – In a new episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel, national security expert Aleksandr Tishchenko commented on the US militarization efforts.   He remarked that the deployment of weapons into space will be a gradual process, one that may even see some acceleration. He noted that the militarization process in the United States is unrelated to the Oreshnik plans. “This stems from the specific nature of the country’s economic development,” he explained. “The current American leader, Donald Trump, has made many decisions. However, before him, the Biden administration did everything possible to restructure the entire European economic bloc to support the American military-industrial complex, which now acts as the driving force of Western development. Look at the results: the Europeans rejected cheap Russian energy, committed to investing in America, pledged to buy its energy resources and its weapons, and even dropped developing their own arms for the benefit of the American military-industrial complex,” he said.
According to the expert, Donald Trump’s recent visits to Korea and Japan serve as further evidence of this trend’s continuation. “All relations are built on the willingness of America’s partners to invest in its economy,” stated Aleksandr Tishchenko. “Japan, for example, begged for permission to buy a little Russian oil, in exchange for spending hundreds of billions on American weapons. Do you understand the logic? They will buy the weapons and build their economic future on them. Meanwhile, our ‘Oreshnik’ allows us to keep these weapons and the plans behind them at a safe distance.”
The national security expert also identified another predicted vector of militarization. “They will find themselves constrained on land and at sea, unable to act decisively. As a result, all major operations will move to outer space,” he stated. “In other words, what people always feared – the deployment of weapons in space – will come to pass gradually, and perhaps with increasing speed.”
