Autumn landscapes around historic monasteries in Türkiye

TRABZON, 4 November (BelTA — Anadolu Agency) — The ancient monasteries of Panagia Sumela and Vazelon in Türkiye’s Black Sea province of Trabzon, were photographed by a drone against the backdrop of autumn colors.
Sumela is an Orthodox monastery of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, built in late 4th — early 5th century AD on a chalk cliff.
Vazelon is a Byzantine Orthodox monastery, believed to have been built around 270 AD. The monastery is located on a mountainside at an altitude of approximately 1.2 km, making it difficult to access.
